Hekim Profil's Role in Steel Roofing

Hekim Profil does not manufacture steel roofs, but because we produce the profiles used in them, we are happy to support our valued customers in this respect. Used as purlins, girts, trusses and facade members, C, C Plus, Sigma, Sigma Plus, U and Z profiles form the load-bearing part of the roof system.

Why a Steel Roof?

Steel roofs are widely chosen for their advantages: price, ease of assembly, manufacturing time, material savings, long life and the ability to be relocated when needed. They are common in non-industrial buildings such as light steel buildings, housing, shopping centres, social facilities, hangars, warehouses and livestock barns, and in heavy steel industrial buildings.

Because steel roofs do not tear or break, they are a more reliable and preferred system. Steel construction systems, the choice of developing countries, are among the most suitable building systems especially for countries in earthquake and natural disaster zones. They are also preferred because they are easy to transport, extend and modify, and are environmentally friendly and recyclable. Parts deformed or damaged by external factors are very easy to repair or replace.

Easy to manufacture, steel roofs save time and therefore cost. Because steel roofs are designed for their location, lighter materials can be used where snow and wind loads are low. A lighter steel roof saves money and, by reducing additional loads on the structure, also extends the building's life.

Steel Roof Prices

In terms of price, steel roofs make building more reliable, faster and more economical because they are easy to produce, source, ship and assemble.

The factors affecting price are mostly natural: the building's location, snow load, wind load, humidity, rainfall, roof pitch and span all affect the design and cost of steel roof products. Because the geography of the site affects the vertical and horizontal loads on the steel building and roof, costs rise when profile thicknesses, sections or sheet properties must change to carry those loads.
