About the Product

What Is a C Profile?

Made of steel and one of the building elements, the C profile stands out as a perforated profile prepared in different sizes. Its manufacture starts with cold forming galvanised sheet on our high-tech production line. Sheets cut and bent by special machines are brought to the required shape to obtain C profiles. Because 3D drawings of these computer-controlled profiles are loaded into the machines, holes can be drilled at any point required, so C profile options can be adapted to the project.

Applications

Industrial Buildings

Light Steel Buildings

Solar Energy Systems

What Are the Types of C Profile?

Widely used, the C profile range offers different designs — C and C Plus — to meet various needs.

Using the latest technology, our new production lines have been given various options to meet customer demands. One of them is the PLUS feature added to the C profile: the resulting C Plus profile's extra bend increases its strength.

C Profile Features

Made of steel, C profiles can be chosen with confidence. They are supplied in the sizes and hole counts required. C profiles can be fixed with self-drilling screws and, thanks to galvanising, are highly resistant to corrosion. The galvanising class is set by the customer and the project. Produced up to 16,000 mm long, C profiles can be used safely in buildings.

Because the C profile is used in many sectors and sizes, holes are added to give designers and users aesthetics and ease of use. These perforated profiles are produced on state-of-the-art lines in the requested lengths and sizes, with holes at the size and axis in the project details, burr-free cutting, inkjet marking and packaging tailored to individuals and companies. Thanks to 3D drawings loaded into computer-controlled, fully automatic, high-capacity lines, holes can be drilled at any point required. They can be produced 16,000 mm long, 1.00-4.00 mm thick, in grades from S235JR to S355JR, with 400 mm webs and 100 mm flanges.

Coating and mechanical properties can be chosen to suit custom-designed projects. Materials can be specified hard or soft according to the loads, and corrosion resistance through the galvanising thickness or paint on hot-rolled sheet.

C Profile Advantages

With high load capacity, C profiles perform better than options made from heavy hot-rolled sections, saving up to 40% in material and cost. High production speeds let you source material quickly, and because these materials are easy to ship and assemble, they make steel construction reliable and economical.

As C profiles are made from thin-walled sheet, sandwich panels or trapezoidal sheets used as cladding can be fixed to them easily with self-drilling screws.

In roofs, beams and columns, C profiles are a more reliable and preferred system because no pieces break away. Steel construction systems, indispensable in developed countries, are the most suitable building system especially for countries in earthquake and natural disaster zones. They are also preferred because they are easy to transport, extend and modify, and are environmentally friendly and recyclable.

Where Are C Profiles Used?

Widely used in construction, C profiles can be chosen with confidence for many applications. Used to support the roof, wall and floor systems of solar power plants and reinforced concrete buildings, they are also common in prefabricated buildings. C profiles are used in partition walls, HVAC installations, cladding, insulation, suspended ceilings, curtain walls and facade cladding.

C profiles serve different purposes in many sectors, led by construction, steel structures, light steel, automotive, electrical-electronics, metal goods and energy. They can be used as load-bearing or auxiliary members in industrial facilities and steel buildings.

Mounted back to back, C profiles can form load-bearing columns, beams or built-up trusses. In heavy steel industrial buildings under high loads they can be load-bearing, or auxiliary purlins, girts and facade profiles. In non-industrial steel structures such as light steel buildings, warehouses, hangars and livestock shelters they are used as load-bearing columns, beams and roof trusses.

They are known under names such as CEE profile, C profile, CC profile, C purlin, C girt, roof profile, facade profile, light steel profile, steel construction profile, heavy steel building profile, perforated C profile, cold-formed C profile, custom building profile, steel building profile, prefabricated building profile, custom C profile, prefabricated building profile, frame profile, truss profile and steel roof profile.
