What Is a Sigma Plus Profile?

Sigma Plus Profile is a high-strength profile produced by adding an extra bend to Sigma Profile. This bend, added to the channeled structure of Sigma Profile, increases the product's resistance to applied vertical and horizontal loads.

Used as a load-bearing and auxiliary element in industrial structures across sectors such as solar power plants, construction, automotive, electrical-electronics and energy. Its coating and mechanical properties can be tailored to the project, which is a key advantage.

Sigma Plus Profile Features

Sigma Plus profiles are produced on state-of-the-art lines in the requested lengths and sizes, with holes drilled at the size and axis given in the project details, burr-free cutting, inkjet marking on the profiles and packaging tailored to individuals and companies. 3D drawings loaded into our computer-controlled, fully automatic, high-capacity machines allow holes to be drilled at any point of the profile. They can be produced up to 16,000 mm long, up to 4.00 mm thick, in grades from S235JR to S355JR, with webs up to 400 mm and flanges up to 100 mm. The galvanising class is set by the customer and the project.

Coating and mechanical properties can be chosen to suit the designed project. Materials can be specified hard or soft according to the loads, and corrosion resistance through the galvanising thickness or paint on hot-rolled sheet.

Sigma Plus Profile Advantages

With their very high load capacity, Sigma Plus profiles save up to 40% in material and cost compared with buildings made of heavy steel. They are also easy to produce, source, ship and assemble, making steel construction more reliable, faster and more economical.

In roofs, beams and columns, Sigma Plus profiles are a more reliable and preferred system because no pieces break away. Steel construction systems, indispensable in developed countries, are the most suitable building system especially for countries in earthquake and natural disaster zones. They are also preferred because they are easy to transport, extend and modify, and are environmentally friendly and recyclable.

Sigma Plus Profile Applications

Sigma Plus profiles are used as load-bearing or auxiliary members in industrial facilities and steel buildings in the construction, steel structure, light steel, automotive, electrical-electronics, metal goods and energy sectors.

In heavy steel industrial buildings under high loads, Sigma Plus profiles serve as auxiliary purlins, girts and facade profiles. In non-industrial steel structures such as light steel buildings, warehouses, hangars and livestock shelters, they are used as load-bearing columns, beams and roof trusses.

Why Do We Process Your Personal Data?

We process personal data primarily to provide you with better products and services, for the following purposes: to offer you our Company's products and services; to prepare records and documents; to comply with information retention, reporting, disclosure, tax and other obligations under domestic and international legislation; to conduct research, planning and statistical studies; to analyse and archive our customer portfolio and communicate with our customers; to assess customer complaints and suggestions concerning our services; to obtain your opinions and suggestions about new services and products; to provide personalised advertising, campaigns, offers and other benefits as part of sales, promotional and marketing activities aimed at improving the quality of our services and products; and to fulfil our information retention, reporting and disclosure obligations imposed by judicial and administrative authorities.

What Is Permitted in Relation to Personal Data Under the KVKK?

Under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, Prefabrik Yapı İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., as the data controller, may record and store your personal information in physical or electronic form, update, classify and process it within the limits of that law, and disclose it to third parties, transfer it and process it to the extent permitted by legislation and solely for the purposes stated above.

To Whom and for What Purposes May Personal Data Be Transferred?

To fulfil the purposes stated above, Prefabrik Yapı İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., as the data controller under the KVKK, may record and store your personal data in physical or electronic form, update, classify and process it within the limits of that law. To the extent permitted by legislation, it may disclose and transfer your personal data to business partners in Türkiye and abroad, group companies, shareholders, affiliates, individuals or legal entities with which it collaborates, courier companies, banks, individuals or legal entities from which it receives services or with which it collaborates in relation to products/services, and public authorities, and process it, subject to the personal data processing conditions and purposes set out in Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK.

What Does the “Personal Data” We Are Required to Protect Include?

Under Article 3/d of the KVKK, personal data includes identity information, access details and contact information, and any information and documents obtained through transactions under any type of contract that make it possible to identify our suppliers, our suppliers' representatives/employees, our business/solution partners, our business/solution partners' representatives/employees, our subcontractors, our subcontractors' representatives/employees, our customers, our customers' representatives/employees, our prospective customers, our prospective customers' representatives/employees, our employees, our job applicants, our interns, our scholarship recipients, our shareholders/partners, and individuals conducting business with our Company or representatives/employees of private legal entities conducting business with our Company through a legal relationship established under any designation.

How Is Personal Data Collected?

Your personal data may be collected in writing, verbally or electronically through our website; our sales outlets; our company, branch and factory premises; our call centre; our social media accounts; our employees; contracts; our quotation forms; and other channels. Without infringing your fundamental rights and freedoms, our Company will retain the personal data it obtains for the periods specified in the legislation to which it is subject, where such periods are prescribed, or, where no such period is prescribed, for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it is processed. It will then delete, destroy or anonymise the data. You can view the retention periods our Company has declared to VERBİS by conducting a search at https://verbis.kvkk.gov.tr/Query/Search.

What Are the Data Subject's Rights Under the KVKK?

In relation to your personal data, you have the right to:

a) learn whether it is being processed,
b) request information if it has been processed,
c) learn the purpose of processing and whether it is being used in accordance with that purpose,
ç) know the parties to whom it has been transferred, d) request rectification if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately,
e) request its deletion and destruction subject to the conditions set out in Article 7 of the KVKK,
f) request that the actions taken under subparagraphs (d) and (e) above be notified to third parties to whom it has been transferred,
g) object to an outcome detrimental to you resulting from its analysis exclusively through automated systems,
ğ) claim compensation for any damage you suffer as a result of its unlawful processing.

Data subjects may submit requests concerning the rights listed above to our Company by preparing an information request using the methods specified below or other methods determined by the Personal Data Protection Board, together with information and documents establishing their identity. Our Company will resolve the requests included in the application free of charge as soon as possible, depending on the nature of the request, and within thirty days at the latest. However, if the procedure entails an additional cost, a fee may be charged in accordance with the tariff determined by the Board.

To request information, a copy of the application form available on our Company's website bearing the applicant's handwritten signature must be delivered in person or through a notary to “Güzelyalı Mahallesi, Egemen Sokak, No.11/3 Pendik/Istanbul”, together with a photocopy of the applicant's identity card/passport establishing their identity.

2. To request information, the application form available on our Company's website must be signed with a “secure electronic signature” under the Electronic Signature Law No. 5070 or with a handwritten signature, and emailed to kvkk@prefabrikyapi.com, together with a photocopy of the applicant's identity card/passport establishing their identity. The applicant must send the email using an email address previously provided to the data controller and registered in the data controller's system.

3. For a third party to submit an application on behalf of a data subject, the data subject must grant a special power of attorney, executed through a notary, to the person who will submit the application.
